He came from that land

From the land of the old tall trees

From the land of the bustling wind and the rain

From the land of the autumn leaves, and the vast seas 

From that far away land with the endless sky and all those stars

When the sun set that one night, he left

To the land of the new tall buildings

To the land of the tepid breeze and no rain

To the land of dead leaves and no seas

To that land where the sky is gone, and the stars have died

When everything else was lost, he returned to the place he knew 

And then he could rest again
