Icarus

Icarus was about 10 when he decided to enter figure skating contests in the mortal realm. Until then, he had been skating in the rink that his grandfather had constructed just for him in the Infernal realm where he was born and raised, but he wanted more. Of course, this wasn't always easy for him. At first, when he was young he was forced to compete in the girls' competitions until he was old enough to begin doing more than socially transitioning. And of course that in itself was a whole host of its own problems. He had already made a name for himself under his birth name, before he really and truly began to realize exactly why he didn't feel comfortable as a girl, and transitioning to himself as at 13 and already a Junior World's champion in women's figure skating had him full in the spotlight. He was told it would be better to wait, but he didn't want to wait, he couldn't live as Mariposa anymore, and so he started practically from scratch as Icarus. He was sixteen before he metaled in the world's junior championships for the men's, nabbing a silver. He's going to start training for the men's divisions this summer, now that he's finally seventeen.
