To put it bluntly, China is an absolute brat. When he hatched under Ruby's care he was spoilt by both her and her mother which gave him not only a huge ego but the confidence to do whatever he liked whenever he liked. This started as playing video games and using the internet but after time it turned into pranking his friends and his owners. But as he grew older he grew grumpier thanks to the constant scolding he got in return for his bad behaviour and soon turned to the internet as an outlet for his emotions. Ruby tried to interact with him and play with him but he never responded positivly to her attention, instead prefering to slowly push he glass of water off the edge of the desk to distract her from him and get her angry and flustered with the idea of cleaning it up. He still went with Ruby wherever she went but floated around blindly not asking for things or messing with people like he used to do when one day he spotted a pair of shades that he thought resembled some he saw on an internet meme and stared at them for a while, Ruby caught sight of this and without being asked bought them for him, since then hes never been seen without his shades allthough he has bought some new pairs since. These days China is a master prankster taking inspiration from videos he finds online, he enjoys seeing his friends and his family getting flustered feeling that it brings them closer together. He spends alot of his free time scrolling on his smart phone and taking pictures of his owner and friends which he posts online to show the world. Ruby finds all the different phone cases people sell "super cute" and buys tons of them for his phone which he then uses out of fondness for her, he still thinks they look really dumb though. Speaking of fondness despite his still grumpy personality he really cares and loves his owners and while he pretends not to enjoy his time around them in reality he would be lost without them. China is also now a bit of a show off making sure to act cool with his gadgets around his friends while trying to impress that special someone he has his eye on and making sure all of his chao friends know hes a high tier in his competative games Lol.
