Nachtigal was once human, bending the spirits of the world around him to bring him visions of the future. Through short-sightedness and greed, the spirits took vengence for his ill behaviour and cursed him into the form of a wolf who cannot control the visions as they come to him; one at a time, they haunt his nightmares, his waking days, and other-things worm themselves into creation through his mortal powers becoming corrupt.
Over the hundreds of years he has explored the earth, Nacthigal has learned to semi control the creatures that come to him from the other world. He binds them into ink upon his form, their shapes tribal in nature and skittering over the depths of his fur, and turns their desires outwards to his own advantage. Nachtigal gives them purpose.
