Captain Nova

Once known only as N-0V4, an android built to care for a family of aristocrats on their sea and starfaring journeys. Powerful and obedient despite his high-functioning AI, he was a very high class model of servant android. He felt no particular way about the family, for this life was all he knew. But that soon changed, as what began as a vacation to the stars became a target for a group of pirates, a greedy lot who were ready rob the family blind. In a last ditch effort the family ordered N-0V4 to protect them at any cost, even his own life. And he obeyed, taking down every pirate with his own four hands despite the overwhelming numbers.

But an epiphany came to him as he crushed the final swine's head in his hand. He, was powerful. Humans, were not. He took a sword and gun from the bodies strewn about, and slaughtered the family that was so ready to risk his life for theirs. Their ship became his, and he became Captain Nova, an android who answers to no one unless he himself chooses to. Those who join his crew must devote themselves to him for life, or accept death at their captain's hands. He'll accept nothing less than absolute loyalty from his crew.

Despite his bloody beginnings though he's quite the gentleman. A century and a half working for aristocracy has left him with impeccable manners and taste, as well as making him quite eloquent in multiple languages. His greed is fitting of aristocracy as well...gold and jewels fill him with a special sort of joy. His ship is extravagant in every way possible just as he is, gold plating and fancy wood-carving everywhere you look. Only the best for Captain Nova.
