Newtspring

His mother, Ryeshade, had always believed that to be a good warrior, you had to be strong and tough. She had been a pretty loyal follower of Canarystar and always trained the apprentices she had had brutally. Newtspring was the only kit in the litter, barely surviving. He was weak and was nevr good at hunting or fighting, From the moment he was old enough, Ryeshade had been training him and making it clear that she excpected him to be as strong as her. She put him under harsh training, rarely giving him free time. He spent his free time with his father, Ferretspring, learning about animals. But, when Newtspring was 4 moons, the only family he really had, Ferretspring died. This left him with Ryeshade that continued to train and abuse him. During his apprenticeship, training just got worse and Newtspring had very few friends, only Marshberry which had been his best friend since birth and Skunkblaze, his second best friend/crush. After one day when Ryeshade snapped at him, blinding him in one eye, she got killed in secret by the medicine cat Lemurtail. Newtspring became a warrior and suffered another loss when Stoatwoods, a cat that had grown into a grandfather-figure died during a battle. He managed to move on from the loss and became mates with Skunkblaze.
