traits: Black Tide, a true warrior for the dark alliance. His fascination with fighting has lead him to do everything he can to make himself a tough opponent in any fight. His mind is completely focused on war strategies, fight patterns, and ways to combine strength with speed. Winning is dangerously important to him and Black Tide will do anything it takes to make sure he either wins ... or he makes the winner pay for making him lose. Power is all he really cares about; the power to control and manipulate, the power to take others under his wing. Slaves are important to him. The more you have, the more powerful you are in his eyes. Slaves show you are capable of of controlling others, making them bend completely to your every whim. However, he does not mistreat anyone in his herd, slaves included in this. Anyone who manages to make it to his herd he sees as worthy of his presence and any injury towards them, unless deserved, will put anyone immediately on the top of his hit list. Hurting someone close to him, someone in his herd, that's nearly as bad as attacking Black Tide himself ... at least in his mind it is. His dream is to make the dark alliance more powerful, feared for all the right reasons, and to make his name known. Nothing will stand in his way of doing this .... nothing.

history: Black Tide as a foal was the same as Black Tide as an adult. He was always mature for his age, always talking to the elders of his father's herd, asking them about battle moves of old. He would practice these moves, every single one of them, until they were as close to perfect as they could get. The others in the herd that were close to his age began to follow him, and the adults in the herd always joked that they were the "Warriors of Time". This got Black Tide thinking about war, the concepts, the way it would feel to win one. But like they say, curiosity killed the cat. The Warriors of Time, now yearlings, went out looking for competition. They found this in a medium sized group, lead by a young stallion not much older than themselves. Thinking they could take the group on without a problem with their group of ten, they attacked ... only to be cruelly defeated when the rest of the herd showed up. Two horses were killed and the rest received various injuries, some more serious than others. Upon returning home, they were scolded and their leader, Black Tide, the mighty yearling with so much promise for a future lead stallion, was exiled. A few of his friends tried to follow him, to change the minds of the others, but they never succeeded.

When he came to Wild Equines, he quickly settled into his own lands. He met up with a mare Scarlet Ice (Ebon). She'd been born and raised in Dark Woods, and the two eventually grew to become best friends and two deadly assassins after he invited her to live with him, back when he was a Helkaer by the name of Brenneka (Thread WE2). Black Tide helped Scarlet (Ebon) rip apart Nikita (Ebon) - their first of many kills together. During the assassination they were caught by Lateralus (Ebon). The two assassins thought he would attack or banish them, but instead he questioned why they didn't just kill Nikita (Ebon) off, saying she didn't deserve the mutilation. He then left them to continue their work. They they proceeded to rip Nikita (Ebon) apart and scattered the pieces of her through Dark Woods. (Thread (Discussing the assassination) (WE2)) Thread (the assassination) (WE2).and soon after had a daughter together, Acheri (Ehon). It was their first foal - together or otherwise. It was obvious from the start that Acheri (Ebon) had her father wrapped around her finger - or hoof, rather. It was the same with with her younger brother, Kasdeya (Scarlet (Ebon) bringing Kasdeya home), but Acheri would always remain his little princess.

Shortly after the birth of their third child, another daughter, Lamia, Scarlet Ice (Ebon) passed away.

Acheri: His firstborn, a daughter. She was his little princess and though he gave her his blessing when she went off to go and explore the furthest reaches of the word, he still misses her and wishes she would come home.
Kasdeya: His secondborn, a son. He tries to keep a tight leash on him since he has a history of getting into trouble... and getting kidnapped.
Lamia: His third child, a daughter. Considering all that has happened with her mother (Tide's mate) and their first two children, he is extremely protective of her.
Scarlet Ice: The mare that was his first love and mate, father of his first three children, Acheri, Kasdeya, and Lamia. She passed away shortly after Lamia was weaned.
