Brytt Mccarthy

• In some AU's she has the ability to manipulate her tattoos/control ink magic.
• She can be drawn without her tattoos, as she hasn't always had them (obs) and that would be just considered earlier art.

Brytt has been through some rough times and is a person who's been betrayed by the people she loved the most. She isn't cruel and would never do to anyone the same things that happened to her, but she is rough around the edges and a bit puttoffish because she doesn't really want to run the risk of getting attached or letting people in. She also struggles with a deep rooted grief that she's never had the time or ability to properly address and find resolution for. Because of this, she can lash out at others or unintentionally hurt people in her efforts to chase them away so that she doesn't have to confront it. She will defend and protect those she sees as innocent or in need of assistance, and seek to punish those she deems as liars or untrustworthy. She's got a strong moral code and won't stand to have it infringed upon if she can help it. She is on the run from police, and though it's been a few years, she still stays under the radar and avoids getting involved in any public disturbances or situations. She does have a fake identity she's developed to keep herself afloat under a new name and will utilize this as necessary. 

She is in reality very lonely and wishes she had someone she could probably look to as a friend to help her learn to cope with the devastating loss of her daughter. Given her position and lot in life she doesn't feel it practical to go looking for that needle in a haystack and chooses instead to pretend such a thing just doesn't exist. Denial is her best friend.

She comes across as irritable and always in a rush. She grew up with her father and three older brother's in a martial arts dojo (As her father owned the place) and as a result she learned plenty of ways to defend herself as necessary. She put these on the backburner while she pursued her original 'normal' life, but has since revived and uses them to put people in their place who threaten her. She is strong willed and dedicated to seeing her former husband rot in prison for what he did. But it's hard to prove your innocence while surrounding yourself with criminals, and hard to find someone else's guilt years after the crime occurred. She sometimes struggles to believe she'll ever achieve it, and struggles with her self worth after being completely emotionally destroyed by the man she once loved. 

At first Brytt was perfectly fine with the normal life. She went to school, got her college degree in astronomy, settled down and got married, and had a little girl who was her entire world. Well, until it turned out her husband wasn't all he was cracked up to be. He owed some major debts, and his solution was to take out a life insurance policy on their daughter and then pin the death on his wife. Unfortunately, he succeeded. In a single night everything she cared about was taken from her, and she was forced on the run from law enforcement, posed with the task of either proving her own innocence or proving her ex husband's guilt. She abandoned her old life to avoid the cops and had to quickly learn the ways of the criminal underground in order to keep herself afloat, getting involved in some nasty business as she made her own deals just to get by. She might have been a casual housewife for a while...but she wasn't a pushover. Bitter, and angry, she became a ruthless vigilante of sorts, taking out her anger at her own traitors on people she found causing harm to others. 

Her tattoos were an addition she got after everything that went down, and once she was settled in her new life. She got her daughter's favorite flower in memorandum and as a way to show what she now stands for: Finding justice. 

She isn't heartless, but she is very broken and distrustful of almost anyone. It's very hard to get in her good graces, and harder to earn her trust. She doesn't like to let anyone in and would rather be alone than ask for help. Though she puts on a strong and confident front it's mostly because she really has no choice. She's stronger than she used to be, but the cost wasn't worth it. She knows her old life is gone and can never return so she does what she can to embrace the life she has now.
