"Maybe you'd like a taste of the secret menu. Will that be a Baker's Dozen Special?"

Media: Yakuza
Species: Human
Nationality: Japanese-Mexican
Gender: Male
Age: 37 (Kiwami, 2005)
Height: 5'10"
Personality: Relaxed on the outside; A little grumpy; Overall calm and friendly, but has a temper; Loves cooking; Highly skilled; Loyal; Sensitive about his family
About: Kondo is a culinary expert who runs a little bakery in Kamurocho (Rosa’s Bakery) which, in truth, is really a front for the real business he runs as a weapons dealer. Kondo is highly skilled in many types of weapon styles, as well as in the kitchen. Nobody can top those delicious pastries as much as they can top his ability to crack skulls with a rolling pin. Kondo is an ally to Kiryu and knows Majima well since that batshit crazy dude owes him a few favors. Kondo tries not to take sides in most conflicts in order to keep good business, but in the end, he follows what’s right to him. He can speak Japanese, Spanish, and some English.
History: Kondo’s father ran the same weapons company and met his mother on a business trip oversees. His parents became his teachers in business and cooking, as well as weapon training, maintenance, and crafting. Unfortunately, when Kondo reached the age of 16, his father died in a freak accident after a weapon malfunction, leaving him and his mother to run the business themselves. Things were proving to be difficult, and Kondo and his mother were butting heads over the types of people they made deals with a lot of the time, but they still managed to hang on for a while. Eventually, the two decided to send Kondo’s mother back home to take care of the rest of her family while Kondo stayed behind to run the weapon dealing, despite being so young.

Four years later, when he was 20 years old, Kondo would open Rosa’s Bakery — named after his mother — in Kamurocho; not only to put his culinary skills to work, but also to attract the right kinds of customers. Just asking for the "Baker's Dozen Special, no frosting” will most likely grant you access to the real shop in the back. Even though a lot has changed in all the passing years, Kondo’s businesses are still going strong.

Note: His tattoos are each the black silhouette of the eagle on the Mexican flag.
