Though young, Marin has a level head and a good sense of judgement and justice. He has been a fighter since he was very young, a protector of the Temple and the Pokemon within. This gives him a strong sense of duty, though he doesn't mind goofing off every now and then on his off time--if he ever has off time. He always believes that he should always be on his guard and has a hard time getting close to many Pokemon.
Being a fighter, Marin is quite capable of fighting. He knows hand to hand, scalchop fighting, and is quite proficient with his water abilities. His swimming is spectacular, but he often has a hard time walking around because he spends so much time underwater.
