Name: Rhett Koening
Age: early 40s (born 1931)
Pronouns/Sexuality: He/Him Bisexual
Species: Dog (Papillon)
Height/Weight: Just shy of average height, heavy set and muscular
Temperment: Easygoing, kind-hearted, self-sufficient, good listener, somewhat reserved
Fun facts: Catholic with a Lot of guilt, former beatnik, equal parts Elvis and Little Richard fanboy, his flower and vegetable garden is his pride and joy, pretty good cook!

Rhett is the owner of The Zebulon, Collegeville's only music venue (and one of its few bars). He inhereted The Zebulon from his father in 1955, when he passed suddenly from heart failure. Rhett didn't see eye-to-eye with his father on a lot of matters - including what to do with a space like The Zebulon - so when ownership was passed on to him, one of the first things he did was add in a stage to transform the bar into a partial music venue.
Rhett's ideals differ from most of his peers in town - in that he leans more progressive than they do - and The Zebulon tends to reflect that, drawing in all types of people. He's tolerant and accepting to all as long as they don't tote hateful ideas. And in cases where someone has proven a problem, he's been known to get his own hands dirty (if flashing the gun behind the bar doesn't do the trick, he's had years and years of experience in fist fights).
He plays the bartender role well, always willing to lend an ear, and he genuinely enjoys looking after the patrons of the bar and making sure everyone's having a good time.
He's very passionate about art, but by this time in his early 40s, he feels he missed out on his chance to become a great artist. He spent his 20s aimlessly fiddling around with music, photography, and poetry, but never felt confident enough in any of them to treat them as anything other than hobbies. He's made peace with that and he actually feels that encouraging the creativity of younger generations is more soul-satisfying than persuing any art of his own ever was.
