Personality:

If Kamui was the 'mom friend' of the group, then Ryan would be best likened to the mentor. He's the oldest of the current generation of Guardians; at thirty four he's both the most experienced of the group, and the most done. He's seen his fair share of battles and is experienced with every kind of weapon — even going as far as forging himself a sword that can be molded into different weapons at will. He's the "teacher" of much of the younger Guardians, in both the ways of combat and the ways of the world. Despite all this, he's actually the best negotiator of the group, as he grew up with the politics of the upper class and maintains a cool head.

Unfortunately for all his caring of the group, he tends to forget his own welfare as he'll often run himself ragged to make sure the base is stocked, the village is safe, and the seals are well maintained. Not to mention he takes care of the leaderly duties that Titania should be doing (paperwork) that she doesn't take care of. Apparently, he was Bruno's protege and intended successor, before Titania took the leadership of the Guardians from him. He doesn't seem to think too much about it; he believes in his teacher far too much and seriously thinks that Titania makes the better candidate, despite her actions showing otherwise.

He's Aidryn's older brother, however the two are distant since he hasn't seen her since he was 10. (There's a thirteen year age gap between them) He's not sure what to think when xe joins the Guardians along with Tsumiyuna and Emerald and xe now considers themself as non-binary.

[Really, all Titania knows is to shout out orders and take reports from people. She doesn't make the wisest decisions, and doesn't consider every option. She really believes in doing things her way, and that puts her at odds with everyone else — the position of leader of the Aura Guardians is more of a figurehead and mediator than a leader, as everyone is expected to contribute to meetings and decisions]

Backstory:
Ryan is from a high-class, low-ranked noble family. Since youth, he's never had a talent for magic, though he's a quick learner of combat arts.
