Bruce is the Steam Punk Eye of Ether! His world is very old, and filled with many humans and machines. The humans of his world have polluted their environment so heavily there's very little nature left... as a result Bruce and his world are both very sick... Dying, in fact- Bruce is standoffish, irritable, and even volatile at times from his condition. He was once cheerful and vibrant when his world was fresh and new- but now he often pushes others away and lashes out at them. He doesn't want anyone's pity.... he hates when other eyes look at him for too long and see how withered he's become. He relies on Kane and his magic to keep himself as strong as he can be. 

He's terrified of reading his book; worried that soon he'll reach the end...
