Profile

No Cure for the Divine /medieval dark fantasy kinda setting/

A lesser god with a power to gift limbs and missing body parts with a cost of losing more later. Has many names, often referred as beast of regeneration, integrity, wholeness of body, even though he takes away all the gifts he's given.

Usually looks similar to a lion, but can take various forms. His powers revolve around flesh (physical matter), so he needs to "replenish deposits'' to be able to provide his gift.

He appeared out of despair of people who lost body parts in a war, disappointment in magic that couldn't fix bad injuries, and fear of a fairy tail monster - man-eating lion that collected his victims' limbs in a cave.

In contempt of his origins, liongod is pretty indulgent and kind (in a way..). He can give extra treatment for suffering people when feeling generous.

Body parts given by the lion often have some divine powers. When people found out about it, they started willingly crippling themselves and forming cults of The Lion.

Despite gods' ever present thirst for power, liongod doesn't like people worshiping him like that, and often takes part in destroying sects.

The appearance of this god had a huge impact on tortures, executions and even regular crimes, as mutilated victims could now potentially become contractors with god of limbs.

Bitter rivals with god of medicine. Though god of regeneration could potentially heal wounds too, nobody wants to miss patches of skin later.

He takes away gifted flesh after 12, 33, or 66 years or immediately after death. Longevity of Lion's contracts depends on recipient condition or age.
Wounds left after are painless and have bismuth-like texture.
