19 january 1991 . Kendall is born in Scotland; his mother is 19 at the time; she works for the local butcher and provides him with the cattle she raises. She's mature for her age and hard-working enough to manage both jobs, though she receives help from the community after the scandal surrounding her lover's affair. Her reputation is slandered by the media over the next several years, but she remains well-liked by those closest to her.
fall 2007 . Aged 16, Kenny is attacked by a bear that escaped the neighbor's personal zoo and was found harassing his mother's cattle. He's lucky not to sustain any life-threatening injuries, but his nose had to be reconstructed, and parts of his body are left significantly scarred from defensive wounds.
summer 2008 . Facing a lengthy recovery from his attack, Kenny doesn't finish high school and focuses on what he can do to help his mother with her farm. He runs errands for the butcher and tends to the cattle as he gets his strength back.
summer 2009 . Newly 18, Kenny applies for a position at Castle Bay Equestrian Center and is accepted as a stable groom. He works under the acting owner, Clyde Kent, and is offered lessons to refine his riding techniques. He takes well to showing in hunter and equitation classes, which earns him the opportunity to advance his training under the stable's lead instructor.

winter 2015 . Close to 6 years working for CBEC, he's informed that founder's heir is returning to Ireland to claim ownership of the stable. He's skeptical of the new owner's reputation, and is disappointed with how eager Clyde is to retire. He considers finding new work, but is comfortable at the stable and waits for the heir's arrival to make his decision.
spring 2016 . Kenny is introduced to Katrina O'Dire and informed of her plans to revitalize CBEC. While he's still hesitant to accept her as his new boss, he reluctantly agrees with her visions for the stable's future and continues to work under her.
summer 2016 . The previous barn manager resigns and Kenny is offered the position.
