Finn

Finn hates asymmetry. Imperfection is something he can't stand. It's not because he is this way on his own, he was raised under unhealthy pressure from his parents, which made him question his own worth. He developed something like obsession over symmetry and perfection. It applies not only to objects or actions, he hates asymmetric creatures, he can't stand seeing something "not-perfect". It creates so much fear for him he becomes angry, and this can't be good, right? He seems unkind, which is true if you aren't close enough to him.

I want money and power

You can't really blame Finnick for what he has been. Unhealthy pressure from his family mixed with developing mental issues pushed him to a big 'alpha' syndrome. He seemed unapproachable, unkind, and cold. He never knew where he was going, rich family never helped much. He felt alone in the world, he felt like he was going on his own all of the time. His mental instability only made this worse, developing anxiety shutting him down. He never saw too many opportunities for himself, when he moved out of his family home he became vulnerable and even more scared of everything.

Bend so much that I might just break

He was lost in the world, money became a problem.  This pushed him into criminal life, stealing, and then selling stolen items. His first murder was in self-defense, but it still did push him to his limits. There was a lot of guilt. Then he meets Ashton. Hyena promised him to take back his life, but Finn needed to make him a big favor. He needed to bring him an arm of a victim. This really triggered his fear of asymmetry, but the lesson was learned - We won't be doing things we like. 

From this moment Finn realized his place in life, He became very important to the people he works with, trying to keep close to his best friends and find himself in a real home.

Finn never knew that his father was the one kidnapping Ashton, being responsible for everything that happened. Both of them live with each other not knowing how much really connects them.
