Meixiang is an original character in Genshin Impact.

Introduction

By all appearances, Meixiang is known to be a woman of good spirts and generous nature. She spends her days quietly in her shop and her free moments in her gardens, often allowing herself to remain reserved but friendly. Despite her unassuming exterior, there hides beneath her mask vicious displays of power few have ever been privy too witness. Holding status as an adepti, Meixiang was once known for her brutal justice and swift vengeance, earning her the name of the Vile Garden before her retreat to a quiet life among the citizens she had bound herself to protect.

Personality

Patient and good natured, Meixiang is known throughout the harbor for her compassionate nature and mild temperament, always ready to lend a hand, a shoulder or an ear to whomever may need it. While loved for this good nature, she does tend to be modest, often playing down any roles she may have had in other accomplishments, and even her own. This modesty tends to come from not a place of lack of self-worth but from one of shyness, as she tries her best to keep herself out of the spotlight for one reason or another. She does not struggle to communicate or work with others, however, simply preferring to be in the background where she can. She tends to be somewhat of a worry wart and is known to be overly critical and a bit of a perfectionist at times. This comes from a good place, as she is diligent in her work, including watching over others, and tends to be very analytical.

Despite Meixiang’s good nature, there lies beneath her soft exterior a hardened and blood-soaked warrior of immeasurable power. In acting on her duties as an adepti, Meixiang has come to be known for her rather brutal existence, sparing little to no mercy to her enemies and fighting bloodily in defense of those she takes charge of. She does not tolerate idleness and foolishness and is quick to bring her wrath upon people who would challenge her charges, her home, or her way of life. It is sometimes rumored by the few who are aware of Meixiang’s true nature that those flowers she grows are grown with the lives and blood she has reaped. Even with her brutal tendencies, however, her intentions are true and good and she wants little more than to protect that which she holds dear, believing it her job to get her hands dirty so others won’t have to.

Appearance

Meixiang is a rather small and petite looking woman, standing no taller than 5’1”. Her skin is fair in color and clear in complexion. Her dark black-brown hair is rather long but is often kept up and out of her face, being pulled back as some falls over her shoulders, with only her bands and two strands at the side of her head remaining down. One of her most striking features are her eyes, shifting from pinks to purples in the changing light.

Meixiang is often seen to prefer dresses, her colors often staying within very, very light and pastel colors, mainly pinks and greens. Much of her clothing reflects lotus flowers, with various embellishments resembling the shape or silhouettes of said plant.
