story

she was a mermaid until discovering the human world and she fell in love with how free it seemed 

she started developing a strong sense of hate towards her own species due to how much they restricted her actions

since then she is also very jealous of humans

after trading her tongue for human legs and lungs to breathe air, she became what she now is

her human legs are still covered in scales, her fingers are not fully separated, the fins on her hips and arms remain and even though her mermaid tail is gone the bones of it are left

due to her not resembling neither a human or mermaid she has isolated herself from both species

the corals on her head resembles a crown- referencing her former high status in the mermaid kingdom

design

marionette doesn't have any genetalia

she walks on urchins- this is a reference to how the mermaid in the original story felt like she was walking on glass

there's also random sea creatures scattered all over her body such as the starfish on her forehead and snails (optional and different ones can be added)

the indications on her sides are gills, she's able to breathe both above and beneath water
