Metis

art notes: I'm NOT looking for art that includes his witch hat unless I specify otherwise. I am looking to have him depicted in a wide variety of sweaters to represent his collection lmfao so you can do anything witchy/horror/goth related with his sweater and I'll love it. Wrt his third eye, usually I associate it being open with something intense/serious/supernatural happening and being closed with him just vibing but if you feel like subverting that that can also be cute (ie his third eye also vibing lmao)

*opens third eye* "I can see,, everything,, i am god,, no wait i was joking please come ba-"

Metis is a witch by trade/training and a medium capable of communing with the dead by nature. He used to be guileless and easily taken advantage of by trickier spirits. Through some mishap along those lines, he's ended up with an extra eye. His third eye usually remains closed (I'm still undecided on what exactly happens when it's open but probably spooky stuff).

To make money to actually live he works as a librarian at a weird old library that is practically abandoned. Very few people come in on a daily basis which leaves him with a lot of time to himself. He is not even qualified to be a librarian and does not know who or what his boss is.

He's kind of a stoner which is probably a coping thing. Ghosts are stressful.

While Metis carries himself with a certain tiredness and awkwardness, he is kind and friendly. He isn't completely jaded and still has some residual gullibility, as much as he tells himself he doesn't. He gets attached to others very easily but also fears committment, betrayal and heartbreak. Metis struggles with empathy and doesn't have much of it but he knows how to be a good person and makes an active effort when interacting with others to do the right thing.
