☆ Story Summary
CONTENT WARNING: Bullying, Suicide, Murder, Death, Self Harm are mentioned June Second, Nineteen Ninety-Four, was an important date for the Rockefeller household, the youngest of three children was born on that date. After an unusual c-section delivery. Melody was the only girl produced by the union of the Polish woman Adelajda and German man Sigfrid. Melody was born in the Polish town of Konin. Melody was the little girl her parents had hoped for, beautiful and a delight. Her Odd Eyes seemed to add some charm to her character. Soon She'd start kindergarten, that when her gift seemed to come out, she possessed an incredible IQ, and had a great aptitude towards the art of music.
Her parents soon took her as the priority child, even going as so far to find work in the US, and moving into Las Vegas, Nevada to nurture Melody. On top of being a great piano and guitar player, she had an amazing voice, which she was also taught to sing which served to bolster her talents. But, when moving to a new country, things don't always go smoothly, she was taunted relentlessly for her accents, Heterochromia , her manner of speaking and even her talents and perceived smarts.
At first, she tried not to let it get to her, but soon as an 8-year-old girl having friends was everything soon she changed schools in hope it would help her grow again, that's where she met David and Marina, to kids who loved music as much as she did. And soon they started a little “Band” Ten-year-old Melody was back to her old self, as they jam out in the garage of the suburb house she lived in. But middle school came and when it reared its awful head, so did Melody's insecurities, seen as the nerdy kid who seemed too smart and still had the strange accent, not helped by girls who mocked her growing body and caused self-image issues, she began to stuff her bra and change in the change rooms during gym class to avoid those awful girls. But,the mental beat-downs began to manifest in her music as they took a sad turn, she wrote songs on the beauty of death and wanting to the world to listen to her music and not her strange voice, It hurt for her to live with herself cause of her perceived flaws.
That's when her parents worried thought of it as a phase she was going through, not knowing the hate brewing inside of her, that was until...she attempted suicide at age 14. Her parents didn't know what to do, but worried for their youngest, they committed her to youth Psyche ward to get her head sorted out. Nothing new was discovered through this, Alienation, Self-Hatred, Confusion, Abandonment, Just wanting to move back to Poland, No one understand her cries and screams for help it was awful and only served to bring her pain to the surface, she didn't feel ready to leave but she didn't say anything about it.
The last few months of middle school was terrible, her teachers had filled them in on why Melody was so “special” and why she seemed to be better than anyone and got special treatment, it only seemed to add gas to her already burning fire, they school turned on her and began mocking her for the things she couldn't control, her intelligence seemed to disadvantage her and scare people away, she began to feel truly alone except for her two only friends who loved her for her. David and Marina still loved the jam-out sessions and proposed that they actually start up a band, which added a spark into her life to actually have a band. She was placed as the main writer and singer while David played guitar and Marina on Drums, but somehow she continued to spiral out of control, she began to cut herself and starve herself for days at the time as some form of self-injury.
She began to be angry all the time. WHY ME!? WHY AM I LIKE THIS? I DIDN'T ASK FOR THIS.” She would often say as her meltdowns became more frequent and again her parents having no experience with this took her to a doctor and got her on meds, which only helped the anger she was feeling, she still cut herself every chance she could, she hated herself. Why was she so smart, what is wrong with being like that? Why can't she be normal?
Soon enough she was midyear into sophomore year she was in her school's band on Piano, which seemed to help her get through high school even though her bullying persisted, and before the end of that year, another attempt on her life was made, and another failure. Spending all summer nearly in the psyche ward, it actually helped, this time, around, proper meds and help went a long way into how she was feeling were and wasn't normal and how to stop feeling that way. That's where she met Laura and Ralph and soon joined the band with the bass and second guitar/male vocals. And it got her to the end of senior year when her mental health took a nose dive and yet again an attempt on her life, but was released on account of just suffering a mental breakdown and was released from care.
(Now this can go one of two ways)(The first for dead character RP's in dreamland) Soon they all took to the road to play some venues and got popular, soon playing in bigger venues and within a few years, was on the way to becoming big and successful. But she still felt incredibly lonely, but this was cut short.
One night after a night's performance, to celebrate her friends 21st birthday they went out to get some vodka and other spirits to celebrate Melody and David being the eldest and had drank on several occasions, was put in charge of grabbing booze for the party. As Melody and David browsed the store, a man had come in and started to browse, and while they were paying, Melody told David to get the car ready as they had gotten a fair bit of the stuff. So, David did so. But before she could finish the man shoved her and demanded all her and the cashiers money, After telling the man it was all on her bank card, The man lost control and shot Melody twice in the lower chest. Cause her to bleed badly and pass out. She was saved for the time being , but it was short lived. Two days later at 6:24 PM, Melody passed away from her injuries.
OR Now traveling throughout the west coast to get their name out there, Gig after Gig, And she seems to be making headway, where she goes with her friends, is anyones guess~
