mud is a firbolg war cleric who left home on a mission given by the gods, though the objective was rather vague "to restore balance". he had an idea of what it meant, the dragon rampaging the sword coast might be a good start, but he wasn't impossible to sway. he and his party travelled around neverwinter and phandolin doing missions and restoring a sort of balance to the land, doing good to outweigh the evil and fighting cultists of talos. mud was approached by the god bhaal and offered a pact, to create a balance within himself as well. overwhelmed, mud accepted the offer. he was wreaked with guilt over the decision afterwards but had to do the god's bidding. during his final battle, when most of his friends were unconscious, silvanus told mud that if he denounced bhaal they would restore life to his party. mud denounced bhaal immediately and fell unconscious as bhaal's power left him. the party was able to defeat the dragon creating chaos and mud returned home to his husband and child where he waits anxiously for bhaal's promise of revenge to come.
