Jack Slade

Jack Slade and his six man unit fight their way through a deserted world, on a secret mission to uncover the meaning behind their bloodshed.

He is noble and fights with a good cause, but often throws himself into the fray without reason.

Physical Description:

John is a strapping young man of strong build. He has a strong upper core, yet lanky limbs.

He has brown hair and blue eyes. He is of mixed race (NE Equivalent of Hispanic and White).

John is the only son of a cave system politician and a veteran father. After losing his father in a cave in, John seeks to follow in his footsteps.

Due to his wild fighting style, he  tends to get banged up a lot, and thus has many scars on his body.

Personality:

Jack is sarcastic, prideful and cocky human being, who uses his stubborn nature to protect his friends through any means necessary.

Although his overconfidence is a glaring fault, Jack is brave in battle and his bond with his unit means everything to him. To accomplish the mission, Jack will do anything, and will follow orders willingly if they are just in his mind. 

Although his disposition is confident and strong, in reality Jack knows all too well how weak he is. To try and overcome this, Jack often takes on too much responsibility than he can handle, and gets himself in danger in order to prove himself to his peers. Protecting his friends means more to him than his own life.

Loyalty and bonds mean a lot to him, and Jack will die for his friends. He wants to prevent the tragedy that befell his father before him, and believes in a better future for all of humankind. He's willing to die a martyr to make that dream happen, if it protects the ones he loves.

He'd never let anyone know that though, because he acts like a little punk.

Strengths & Weaknesses:

Jacks strengths are that he's agile. His lanky limbs and quick footwork help him to blitz enemies, and his strong core and muscles are examples of his strength. Despite his unconvential fighting style, Jack has proven time and time again he can hold his own against his robotic adversaries.

However he's not a smart fighter, and is constantly getting bested and beaten because of it. Not only this, but he throws himself into battle on purpose in order to keep his friends out of harms way, actions that can prove to be almost lethal at times. He's a good soldier, but it's likely he'll get himself killed--it almost seems like he actively seeks it.

Bonus Facts:

- Has crush on Lacy Simmons, but knows she has a crush on Sally Rise. Jack is hopelessly trying his best, but knows he's boned

- Really loves the outdoors, shares Al's need to escape the underground and be free, although his reasoning differs from Al: Jack knows that his father dreamed of the outside world, and knows its part of humanities "better future".

- Rarely goes home these days.
