HOSPITAL'S RESIDENT BASTARD

Myrrh is a prodigy doctor and the chief physician of the hospital xe works at. Though xer medical proficiency is unchallenged and xe's great at managing chaotic workdays, xer coworkers are always praying they don't work the same shifts - Dr. Spellweb is well-known for having a morbid sense of humor and pulling cruel pranks. Any opportunity xe gets, there's a 99% chance xe's pulling some sickening fake death or surgery mishap prank. Xer sense of humor is just, in the words of a nurse who later transferred to a different location, "seriously fucked."

Backstory

Myrrh seems to relish in the fear of xer coworkers, and xe's purposefully vague about xer life outside of work to make xemself sound mysterious for this purpose. No one really knows what xe did before xer current job, or anything about xer personal life. After Dr. Spellweb's boss once off-handedly brought up xer degree in neurosurgery, wondering why xe would choose to work at a general hospital with those credentials, xer coworkers had no idea what to make of Myrrh. Clearly, xe's got insane skill in healthcare, so it's anyone's guess as to why xe chooses to work xer current job. Surely, xe'd be a great doctor to train under... if any of xer trainees survived instead of quitting within a week of putting up with Myrrh's intimidation tactics. Well, maybe they're actually supposed to be jokes, but who's to say? Dr. Spellweb sure cracks up when xe's causing mischief in the wards.

Outside of work, Myrrh's only significant pasttime is attending comedy and entertainment performances. Xe used to frequent open mic comedy nights for the sole purpose of hearing other people's japes, but admittedly, Myrrh's been drawn to the partying side of nightlife these past few years after a chance encounter. One night, after witnessing one of the shittiest, dullest stand-up skits ever performed, Myrrh was totally enamored. It was performed by the night club entertainer Verlika, whose specialty is definitely not humor, but it's that humorlessness and stone-cold demeanor that drew in Myrrh. Verlika grew in fame over the years, and her fans seemed to agree that her blunt personality is charming, but Myrrh could definitely brag that xe's been one of her first adoring fans.
