Blu can be quite defensive when she knows she’s right, but she is still a friendly, little cat. When she’s wrong though, she gets awkward real quick. She’s very playful and is fast at swimming, her favorite type of contest/challenge. That’s where most of her pride goes to.

Blu often visits River in Koral Village. She also can’t speak like everyone else. She just meows like a normal cat.(➤She’s mute in her human form.)

ABILITY:

Despite having hydrokinesis powers, and being part fish, she can’t actually breathe underwater.

The temperature of her water from her hydrokinesis depends on her own body temperature.

Blu was never able to talk like everyone else for as long as she remembers, and didn’t know why she could only meow. Luckily her group of friends hung out with her so much that they were still able to communicate with each other with ease.
When she was 9, Blu was washed away after going too far in the ocean of Lunadi Island, her home island that’s known for its ocean’s strong currents. River rescued her and helped her learn how to make a bubble diving helmet using her hydrokinesis powers, as he has experience with helping people with different types of powers. He also gave Blu her hair clips. While Blu has become more skilled in swimming and has mastered creating diving helmets, she still isn’t strong enough to face her home island’s powerful currents. She promised herslef that someday she will go back and see her friends again.

She met Luminalt and Glazer at some point 4 years after her unfortunate events with her home island, and quickly formed a bond with them. When Glazer wanted to start his own journey, Blu took him to River to prepare, then gave him a yellow rose as a parting gift to remind them of their friendship. Blu still occasionally sees Luminalt across her travels though.
