Profile
Darkstream is every cat's favorite tom, even if he doesn't realize it. He is positively regarded by his clanmates for his friendly nature and good humor. He carries an open mind and open heart, with little room for harboring negativity or judgement. He has nothing but love for all of his clanmates, and he will never disrespect any cat regardless of where they may stand. However, some see him as shallow or naive for his seemingly indescriminate kindness, especially rival cats.
When it comes to serving his clan, Darkstream is loyal.

Darkstream is a black smoke ghost tabby tom. He has amber eyes that are almost red in color. His left ear is torn and his left eye is scarred from a past brawl. Thus, he is almost totally blind in his left eye.
In actuality Darkstream is quite thin, but his dense fur accentuates parts of his chest and neck, giving him a selectively toned appearance (think twink, but cat; a turkish angora on the fluffy side). It thins out around his back, stomach, and limbs before fluffing up again at his butt and on his feathery tail. Darkstream's thick fur helps him withstand blows, making up a bit for his lanky physique beneath it. He stands at a slightly above average height of about 11.5 inches. That's nothing a larger cat couldn't tower over, though.
- Some artistic liberty may be taken with the shapes of his back stripes, as long as the ratio of space taken up by the stripes to the space between them is similar to what's depicted on the reference, and some are connected to a pinstripe on his back.
- The scar on his left eye must always consist of 3 scratches.
- Other scars or scratches may be depicted with artistic liberty or applied circumstantially.
- NOMENCLATURE
- Prefix Dark; Refers primarily to his fur.
- Suffix Stream; Refers to his fur as well, especially his tail, that can appear to flow like a calm stream with how well kept it is. It is also a nod to his demeanor, which is consistently polite in formal settings and rarely falters to that end. You can usually count on him to be as steadfast as a river's current, always moving in the same direction as long as it is not too greatly disturbed.
- For a time, Darkstream also had very poor vision in his right eye due to an injury in another fight where he suffered a blow to that eye. He spent many weeks with an herb poultice and a cobweb bandage over his eye, leaving him totally sightless for that time. He was unable to hunt or perform other warrior duties until his eye had healed and the cobwebs were removed. This is why he may sometimes be depicted with scratches on that eye as well.
- In older art, Darkstream's design was inconsistent because he lacked a reference sheet (and because I genuinely did not mind). I still don't mind tbh. I mean, for the longest time he existed primarily as an idea anyway rather than a concrete design. Maybe the real Darkstream is all the variations we met along the way...
