Shakhol is a spirit that 'haunts' Terror Mountain; though considered hostile by the Neopian Trust Organisation (NETO), within the Terror Mountain province she is seen as benevolent and occasionally kind. Stuck between the mortal world and the afterlife, Shakhol is forced to switch from body to body to avoid k1lling both her host and herself. Though death would seem to be a sweet release, both she and her host would be sent into limbo, with no hope of salvation.
Generally, Shakhol is sarcastic and bitter, though its underlined with a soft note of concern for others. She tends well to the mountains, and will aid the villagers during hunting season to minimise damage to both parties. She is able to talk with both Neopets and pets alike, and is occasionally called upon to aid in communication between the two.
She doesn't ask for much; being that she is a quasi-deity, many of the villagers give her sacrifices, but she certainly doesn't require them. This is where many of her Neopet hosts come from, as once a year a young girl is sent to her, where she serves Shakhol in any way she sees fit, most literally meaning as a vessel but occasionally as a companion.
Overall, she is to some degree lonely. The running dialogue between herself and her host is usually the only company she has.
