brier's cryptic reputation preceeds them. though they may come off as intimidating and stand-offish, they're actually rather shy and gentle. they enjoy their quiet little life in the woods and are skilled at living independently.

they avoid people and thus know little of social practices, making them slightly socially inept. they are big, strong, and a little daft, but ultimately very kind... a bit of a thembo, if you will. they do have a natural sense of curiosity, or perhaps mischief - they like to toy with trespassing hikers, which adds to their status as the cryptid known as "mothman".
