Benji Arpachshad's Links
Oh, he's just perfect. Initially, Benji was miffed by Kierin moving into his former home, forcing him to squat in the attic and walls; but after observing him in private and learning more about his life, he grew to find Kierin fascinating. He desperately wants to save him...and kill him, so he can ascend to Heaven! He protects him, waiting until he's fully recovered and repented so he can die happy and pure. Very supportive for what he does condone. Benji doesn't realize he's strongly attracted to him, a la compulsory heterosexuality and internalized homophobia.
Two good friends! Kierin finds Benji to be eccentric and intense, but leans on him for comfort nonetheless. He wishes he wasn't deep in religious dogma; Benji seems to have some negative viewpoints stemming from it, but Kierin thinks he can coax him out of it. He's a good person underneath! He knows Benji suffers from psychotic delusions and comphet, but just doesn't know how or when to talk to him about it. He also doesn't know Benji is prepping him to be murdered.
Complicated. Benji holds no recollection of Finnigan due to traumatic amnesia...His memories of his childhood are totally rewritten. As children, he often bullied and blackmailed their older sibling, but he genuinely couldn't have known any better, thanks to their father. He did love Finn and when he wasn't antagonizing them, he would often play with them. Finn's sudden abandonment post-catatonia left Benji in a state of despair so deep he completely blocked out his memory of them. He finds Finn's stalking very aggravating and isn't sure what they want. Their insistance that he knows them also annoys him. He wants them to stay out of his and Kierin's lives; he has a mission to fulfill, damn it! Begone, demonic worm!
I'm so sorry. Finn loves Benji dearly, but is hellbent on killing him...and then themself. It has to be done. They have always adored their little brother, despite the favoritism in the household, and saved his life. However, Benji went into a medical coma, and came out of it catatonic. The stress made Finnigan leave state, unable to cope with their environment...They tried to get in touch with him in the future, only to find their darling little brother had turned into a delusional serial killer. This broke Finn, and they made up their mind to finish their bloodline off, to erase the stain of what happened, to avenge those countless victims. It's also a mercy kill; should Benji free himself from his delusional state, how could he cope, regaining his old memories and realizing he's been murdering his loved ones? Finn deeply regrets leaving him. They feel responsible for letting his mental state degrade.
Burning jealousy and disgust. Benji thinks he's a poor, blasphemous excuse of a Christian and wants to separate him from Kierin. He hates how badly Kierin wants Sequoia, how close they're bonded...It makes his chest tight, for some reason.
Oh yeah, that guy. Kierin's new friend. Sequoia doesn't know him very well, though their interactions have been...passive-aggressive...? Maybe he's being too sensitive, but he has a sneaking suspicion that he could have something to do with Kierin's odd behavior.
His patient. Benji often injures himself during his kills, and because he can't feel pain, he has a difficult time gauging the damage to his body...But he can't just go to a hospital, and that's where Jackson comes in. He patches Benji up and gives him check-ups to ensure he isn't suffering from ailments or infection. Benji thinks Jackson is a waste of talent, as he's a multi-faceted man, but he's a disgusting murderer who does terrible things to both himself and others. He can tend to be passive-aggressive to him, but appreciates his help. Wouldn't want to be friends.
This bitch never knows when to stop, whether it's overexerting his body or never shutting the fuck up. Jackson has considered killing Benji a few times, but he lets it go since he's a recurring customer. He's cleaned up crimes scenes for Benji before, on top of giving him medical attention. He finds Benji extremely annoying and infuriating at times, but figures he can use him enough to justify keeping him around...For now.
Disgusting. Worthless. A vile bitch, yes, a *bitch*. Benji has never met anyone so predatory and parasitic. He openly hates her for her treatment of Kierin. Convinced she's a succubus. He wishes he could avoid her and pretend he never met her, but he can't due to her involvement with Jackson and Kierin. Eventually he murders her...Not kill, and bring to heaven, but *murders* her. It's the only kill Benji ever acknowledges as a sin.
Pest! Mink thinks Benji is an obsessive and obnoxious mean bastard. She liked him initially and thought they could be friends, but the feeling was not mutual, which hurt her feelings, so she decided to hate him back. Wishes he would bug off Kierin. Probably finds him attractive to a degree, but doesn't bother pursuing him.
Benji feels the same way about Pony that he does Mink...There's something *wrong* about her, even he knows that. He'll fight her, and does, to protect Kierin. He finds her treatment of the dead appalling, and feels sick in her presence. She's evil and beyond redemption...She's a genuine devil.
The only person that has ever truly frightened Pony. She finds his indifference to pain and his eccentric behavior unnerving and strange, and is startled by his inhuman strength. Something ain't right with that boy! She'd probably like him and even be motherly towards him if he wasn't so...unnatural. She's half-convinced that he really might be an angel like he says, and if that's true, she's terrified of retribution for her God-awful deeds.
Stay away...Benji has never met anyone as turbulent and confusing as Gabe. He feels conflicted and distressed in his presence and can't handle the mind games he plays with him. Benji is genuinely afraid of him due to how he's emotionally sucker punched him over and over, and he can't exactly get away because Gabe is involved in the red room circle and blackmails him. It's upsetting, and getting angry only seems to fuel Gabe's obsession. Gabe has also pulled at figurative stitches in Benji's brain, threatening to unleash something he could never prepare for...
Arguably his most favorite person to torment...Benji is too much fun. Gabe loves to gaslight him and deconstruct his delusions in front of him, often confusing and upsetting Benji. He also switches quickly back and forth between being friendly and apologetic, to abusive and unrelenting. He harasses him violently to watch him get flustered and distressed, and he blackmails him, knowing both about his murders and that he's in love with Kierin, which Benji won't admit to, but doesn't want him to tell anyone. They've slept together, which is how he found out about Kierin, but the two of them were intoxicated at the time and Benji has totally forgotten, either from drunkenness or repression. Gabe doesn't tell him this, though: he's saving that to blurt out whenever most inconvenient and humiliating for Benji.
He's heard about her and watched her relationship with Kierin crumble in real time from the walls...Ouch. Though morally he wanted to convert her sometime, he lost interest as Kierin did, and didn't feel nearly as bad as he should when she was murdered...
Never met him.
