Rita Kurashiki

Overview   

Originally a Danganronpa OC, Rita is a competitive eater with a heart of gold who thinks that she's part cat.  She loves reading manga, built men, and of course, eating her fill (in and out of competitions.) She's quite a positive person and seems carefree, but if you are rude to somebody else or put somebody else down behind their back, she'll get angry. 

Backstory

When Rita was a kid, she was picked on quite frequently by other girls in her school who told her that she looked anorexic.  Rita started to develop a terrible dysphoria towards her body at a young age, and throughout her junior high days, she became very quiet and reserved.  In response to the bullying, Rita became obsessed with gaining weight.  Eating became a constant in her life.  Healthy or unhealthy, she didn’t care.  She fell into depression and started skipping classes and spending her evenings eating and watching anime rather than doing her homework. Her grades fell, and she started to become a hermit of sorts.

By the time she had gotten out of her depression enough to start attending classes again, she had eaten SO much food but had still not gained a single pound.  She started eating consistently, eating larger and larger meals.  At that point, the girls at school finally left her alone, weirded out by her obsessive eating habits.

At some point, Rita's mother decided to put Rita's talent to use and put Rita in an eating competition.  That’s when they realized that Rita’s little eating obsession was a bit more than just a hobby.  No, Rita was EXTREMELY good at eating and was winning every competition that they put her in.  They started getting a good income from the number of competitions that Rita was winning, but no matter what, Rita never gained a pound.  She did, however, find a place that was finally warm to her, and allowed her to keep comforting herself with food forever.

Rita has always been petite and has dreams of eating enough food to finally grow nice and round.  She doesn't want to just get bigger, or average sized. She wants to become plus size, where she thinks she will finally be comfortable with herself.  When she eats, she has an almost animalistic personality, and she always ends up with a messy face and hands when she's done of one of her meals because she tries to eat it so fast.

Despite her small size, she has a loud voice when she wants to use it.  Even if she dislikes somebody, she will never talk ill about them, as she knows what it’s like to be misunderstood and picked on.  She doesn't deal well with high-stress situations, and would rather just avoid it all and keep to her little happy bubble with her comfort food. 

Misc Facts

• Rita’s abilities have gotten her an online following from a community that follows competitive eating.  It’s rumored in the forums that her stomach is so strong that it can digest metal and glass, but Rita’s never spoken up about this.
• Rita claims that she's part cat, and always wears these mechanical ears.
• Rita get's cold very easily, thus she's always wearing overly thick looking sweaters (They also cover up her tiny frame which makes he look a bit bigger which she likes)
• She gets bad stomach aches if she's hungry, and is almost always snacking on something.   She also gets cranky if you take her food away
