Laurel Mossdeep (Headcanons tab)

- Struggles with fertility heavily for years and feels pressure from my parents to have biological child until she finally has one, who ends up passing away from complications at birth and was born way too early. Her parents finally let up on the bio child thing and tell her if she wants to adopt that she wouldnt be kicked from the will. (rose just wants her to be happy during all this and tries his best to keep it together for her sake)

-Laurel comes from the Mossdeep family in Hoenn. They founded the city and her grandparents fund the space station with help of Steven's family. At one point there was talks of Laurel potentially marrying Steven (whose like 8-ish years younger then her) but she was uncomfortable with how far apart in age they were and the idea of being engaged to someone by force from family was NOT appealing to her at all.

-She has an older brother named Griffin whose the main heir to their family fortune. She doens't mind not being the main heir because she's active and working. Her father was from Lilycove and was a big name pokemon coordinator , along with her mother.

-They were both fairly disapointed that when they moved to Almia that there was no trainers or coordinators but were content living there to get away from the fame adn wanting a place to settle down with their children.

-Laurel was obsessed with pokemon rangers from a young age too and heavily admired the lead rangers in the region and in Fiore- which led to her becoming one as soon as she could.

-Her grandfather is the one who taught her how to play piano and helped her catch her first real pokemon in Almia , a snover whose her partner pokemon. Inherited a music box from her grandparents that she use to play as a child to get to sleep

- Laurel taught Rose how to play piano.

- kinda is neurodivergent. most likely has a minor form of ADHD that was never diganosed but she learned to control it
