Maldectus

Summoned from the Nowhere by a group of people who worshiped death, he was given a child's form in an affluent household so that he might grow within and spread their reach. He warped from Dark into Death under great pressure, and his mind never quite recovered from the stress. He is vicious and cunning, with a quick temper that has often gotten in his way.

History

One of the oldest known Death Fragments, only known because of his propensity for violence and destruction. He has no true Splinters as all of the traits he sacrifices have forced their way into other beings bodies and taken them over. On several occasions his temper has gotten the better of him and he's killed off someone he needed, then depositing a trait into their corpse to reanimate it for his use. While he has no official end goal beyond utter destruction of Alere's ruling houses, his small army consumes and destroys everything in its path. The first traits he sacrificed were empathy and trust, gone into Splinters to murder his adoptive parents and assume the political power of their House. Losing his trust wears on him, as paranoia starts to creep in and he looks for traitors everywhere, even within his own Splinters. He also sacrificed his conscience at a young age and has it trapped in a cellar, meeting with its young form daily to torture it with his current misdeeds. And to torture himself...

His mouth and seed markings slide off his skin and can consume and spy things normally out of his reach.
