Profile

Wulfric Lycangil had a rough childhood. He was born into a working class family in the city of Gilneas, Eastern Kingdoms, to his parents Wattson and Olivia Lycangil. Both parents struggled to make ends meet to take care of their newborn son, with Wattson working as an engineer, and Olivia working as a baker.

However, the two parents held onto a deep secret that very few knew about; in the spare free time they had not being at work, they indulged in the dark arts of Demonology.

With the two being at work often, Wulfric was left home alone with the various demons his parents summoned as impromptu babysitters. And, surprisingly, the demons took their job seriously, making sure Wulfric was well fed, groomed, and cared for, and loved. The demons even made Wulfric his school lunches and were there for him whenever he came home. Wulfric loved playing with the little imps, and they frequently caused mischief and pulled harmless pranks on school bullies.

Wulfric's favorite of the demonic babysitters, however, was the Voidwalker, Grak'taz, who later became Wulfric's best and strongest ally in his adulthood.

In Wulfric's childhood, he loved writing. When he wasn't busy with schoolwork or on his paperboy route (to earn a little extra money for his family), he'd spend hours weaving all sorts of characters, plot lines, and elements together to create unique worlds in his stories. Wulfric often shared his rough drafts and finished works with his demon caretakers and his friends from school, looking for feedback and tips.

As a writer, one obviously has to love books, so he also spent lots of time reading when he wasn't busy writing. His favorite genre to read were fantasy stories, which he often used as inspiration for his own works. As his parents dabbled in dark arts, he also read warlock books that his parents owned, and, in the presence of his trusted friend Grak'taz, he would practice warlock spells, though, as a child, he wasn't very skilled yet, so the spells turned out to be very weak, which was really a blessing for both Wattson and Olivia, and Grak'taz himself, as Wulfric couldn't do any real harm.

At school, Wulfric was a decent student, but mostly kept to himself, and as a result, he had very few friends. He was often called the "weird kid," and rumors were spread about him and his family. One popular rumor that spread around quickly was that his parents were afraid of werewolves attacking the city and infecting everyone with the "worgen curse." They believed the only way to have their family spared from the curse was to name their firstborn son a name related to wolves, and thus, Wulfric was born. Wattson and Olivia, whenever asked, denied the rumor was true, as they found the chances of that happening to be very low.

Unfortunately, everyone was wrong, as the worgen curse actually did come to Gilneas, and Wulfric and his family were not spared. Just before the attack, Wulfric grew up and became an adult, and finally had better control over his newly learned warlock powers, though he started out with summoning the very same imps he pulled pranks with as a young boy, and later, summoned Grak'taz to be by his side. who Wulfric was very pleased to see, Grak'taz feeling the same way. However, unlike becoming a Demonology warlock like his late parents were, he became a Destruction warlock.

As an adult, his current residence is in the former Burning Legion portal known as Dreadscar Rift, but he is often seen travelling around the world of Azeroth (and Draenor) looking for inspirations for his next story. He tends to stay around other warlocks and demons as he feels more comfortable around them, but he does have few friends, namely the Draenei shaman Insomni, and the Orc monk Drenric Slughig.
