Jane Gates

Personality:

Jane is rude, aggravating, and a general pain to be around. Her attention seeking nature, however, stems from the inability to understand how to make friends growing up -- namely from how often she was ignored and left alone to herself. Thus, when the arcade opened up a new game to play, Jane decided to use it as anyone would: to gain the much desired attention that she yearned for. 

When she does finally find someone that she can consider a friend, however, all she knows how to do is tease and generally be rude -- she's not sure how to handle the concept, and it actually scares her a bit when someone is genuinely, and consistently, kind to her. 

DRcade:

During the events of the original DRcade, Jane decided to play the game in order to escape the life around her and, deep down, make friends. 

Her avatar self was a tour guide who toured various people in various places, from America to Asia. Her Avatar had fluency in dozens of languages, allowing her not only to tour for a wide variety of people, but to have a better understanding of the things going on around her. Like her IRL self, she was a bit of an attention seeker, fighting over control with Engou. However, despite having a better hold on the knowledge she’s obtained through touring, she can sometimes lack common sense. 

At the end of the original DRcade, Jane decided to change herself to her Avatar self, and hasn't looked back since.

Labyrinths:

Several years after the original DRcade, Jane moved to Mazehart in order to take on a task that is perhaps impossible -- to map out the entire network of the Chasms themselves in hopes to be able to accurately tour people around. Despite her lofty goal, her ambitions are seen positively by both humans and slimes alike and, as she comes to find, has a growing network of acquaintances to verify her findings.

However, it's not all work and seriousness to Jane. After finding a watch containing the means of summoning a persona, she uses her free time to cause a bit of a havoc in the chasms for her own self-enjoyment. this becomes all the more thrilling for her when she learns that her Persona, Yama-biko, can echo her voice -- many an adventurer has been fooled by these (usually harmless) pranks.

Still, Jane is left to wonder one thing: what kind of watch is this, if it's not one from the warehouse? (Any concerns about whether or not it's safe to use, though, is of little importance to her).

Other Info:

• When choosing likes for her Avatar, she selected clowns, wildlife, informative maps and guides, but dislikes people speaking over her, noisemakers, and balloons. Her favorite gift was the Binoculars.
• When asked to change their appearance to that of their avatar's, Jane said yes.
