Dascri

Dascri was raised in a human village by his human mother. He never knew his elvish father and as a result never had any connection with that part of himself nor the inherent magic that flows through his veins, if there is any at all, of course. He never blamed neither of his parents for this, however. Nor showed any interest in practicing the art of magic. Always being nonchalant about it, yet young Dascri could not help but wonder sometimes when he was alone. He would always wonder.

With age he eventually opened up his own private detective agency. Always being a curious sort, he loved puzzles and making connections people often missed or overlooked completely. It was a rough start at the beginning. There was little to no income most days but steadily cases came in; mostly cheating spouses and lost pets, but work was work. However, one of these mundane cases turns into so much more than he would have ever bargained for. Dascri’s tracking takes him where he’d never thought possible and a run in with the occult has him unwillingly put into a partnership with a demonic force. He is able to make it out mostly in one piece, though his face is horribly bleeding, half of it is covered by a mysterious skull mask with claw-like protrusions burying itself into his skin. Before Dascri could do anything more — after taking some time to mostly heal (the mask now a permanent fixture) — the cult seems to have vanished leaving little to no trace of their existence.

Now, he continues on with his investigations. He still does the typical mundane requests of finding lost puppies, but his skill set has expanded far beyond just that. With the aid of the mask, which has allowed him to tap into the magic that flows around him, he has started to take on a more supernatural case load. As his own personal project, Dascri continues to investigate the cult that did this to him. Wondering what their true intentions are and if there is any way of stopping them before it’s too late.
