marvolo, commonly known as marv by friends, is a full-time computer engineering student. he's often described as rather pretentious and arrogant, and while he can come off as such, to his closest friends he's loyal and caring. his cold shell is a front he puts up to isolate himself from others, but those who have managed to infiltrate his defenses and catch him off guard know he isn't as prickly as he likes to seem.
marvolo loves dressing up in expensive suits and jewelry, but most days he just can't resist the lure of comfy clothes. he's often seen in jeans or sweatpants, with a tshirt and a comfy hoodie or coat. even though he's dressed comfily, he doesn't neglect his appearance. his hair is always done to his perfect standards, and he always accessorizes with earrings and jewelry. he exclusively wears silver to compliment the metallic silver tattoo snaking down his arm.
his color palette is rather dark, and he compliments it by wearing similar blacks, greys, and greens. his fur is interrupted by the occasional patch of scales (with the exception of his tail, which is all scale) and he always they look polished and clean.
while he loves to appear cunning, arrogant, and aloof, his friends would describe him more as an idiot. marvolo can be rather vain, and part of that is keeping up his appearance to strangers. he loves to turn heads when he walks into a room, and he goes to great lengths to achieve that. he speaks with exaggeration and enthusiasm, often gesturing and articulating with his hands and tail.
around his friends, he isn't afraid to let his real personality to shine through. he feels comfortable with them, and isn't afraid to say perhaps the stupidest thing someone could ever say. he enjoys playing video games, often geeking out about his favorite characters to any of his friends who will listen. he gets incredibly competitive, enjoying fps games and constantly striving to rank up. marvolo grew up in a big city and his family placed him in a private school for most of his life. he was nearly expelled on several circumstances, but he managed to graduate and quickly decided to escape the bustling city life, choosing to instead move to a small town to attend HGU. he was tired of the expectations placed on him while he attended private school, and was excited to become his own person without the pressure of his family judging his every move.
he met his closest friends, silence and nightshade, in a theater class he reluctantly chose to take. if you asked him now, he'd say it was the best choice of his life. he also sports a few online friends he often plays games with, under the usernames "REKT" and "derpeepoh". he strives for good grades in class, but he often has to fight his crippling valorant addiction in order to get anything done.
currently, he works at the local movie theater in the projection booth. he's there almost every night, doing repairs and making sure everything runs smoothly. on days he's not scheduled, he often gets calls to come in to repair something the other employees don't know how to fix. while he's working, he often watches slasher movies, as that's the most interesting thing the theater plays (in his opinion).
