delilah was born in naples, italy, the child of a local "businessman" and a seamstress who immigrated from ethiopia. she grew up surrounded by the wealth of material things, but oblivious to her father's job as a prominent mafioso. her obliviousness contributed to her sheltered upbringing; attending private school and later being home schooled after she came out to her parents in the 5th grade. she went to college briefly to pursue a career in fashion, but ended up dropping out after one semester.

her stand is dolly. for a very long time, it only took the form of a raggity, handmade plush with stringy blonde hair and tan skin. delilah had always had the impression that it was a gift from her mother, but would later be enlightened in finding out that it was a manifestation of a special power only she and a select few other people on this planet possess.

dolly was a very inactive stand- that is, until delilah turned 23 years old. unable to communicate, it began using it's powers to draw other stand users to it, ultimately getting delilah involved in a rather nefarious organization. it's members were set on creating an alliance amongst "like-minded hosts" and eliminating those who didn't want to join/were incompatible with their worldview- unfortunately, delilah was very much a pawn of their schemes and dolly's.
