Giselle is the leading diplomat of Mondstadt, aligning herself with the Knights of Favonius. She is a loved, but unfortunately constantly absent figure among the people of Mondstadt, as she busies herself in keeping the peace between her homeland and its surrounding nations. She works tirelessly in repelling the onslaught of the Fatui, keeping them at bay with her iron will and preventing an all out war. She is; however, at odds with the Knights' capabilities as she is in a league of her own. |

Personality
Giselle's presence is enough for a grown man to want to cower back to his mother. She is firm, unmoving, and cutthroat. She carries herself with authority and eloquence, an image she believes that is only fitting of one in her position. She isn't one to be easily swayed by charm nor grovelling, and always calls out anyone trying to impress her with what she deems "parlor tricks". As a diplomat, she tells herself that she has no choice but to be firm, and that she is only doing her duties as a Knight of Favonius.
Although she is a Knight, she is in a league of her own. Giselle, punitive in nature, will not hesitate to resort to the more brutal and gruesome means if she wants to send a message to those who dare threaten the peace of the land. No matter the cost, no act is too deplorable if it means the safety of Mondstadt. In her words, "If the Fatui can march upon other lands like tyrants, then it is only fair to receive them as such: with force." Her threats are not empty, and her ability to act on them without remorse makes her a feared individual even among the Knights.
Having a powerful presence is simply Giselle's most popular trait, but she is not entirely no-nonsense as others put it. She has a friendlier and humorous side, buying drinks for her very few trusted comrades in arms, as well as extending her generosity to trustworthy business partners. Surprising to most, Giselle loves herself a good drink or a few at the end of the day, where she can unwind and lay out all her troubles. What truly pushes her to be the way she is is simply the immense pressure on her shoulders and how she wishes that others truly were devoted to protecting Mondstadt the way she and Jean are. One would know that Giselle doesn't have a hateful nature, but she is merely hardened by all her disappointments that she no longer holds any true expectations for the Knights.
The citizens of Mondstadt have a different image of Giselle, and a much more genuine one at that. Giselle is a woman who loves her homeland above all else, and while she values the safety of the people, she takes her time to mingle with them to celebrate with them or hear their woes. Whenever she is home, she enjoys being a songstress at the Church of Favonius, where she is most at peace with the people of Mondstadt.
Appearance
Giselle is a woman of notably tall stature, with fair skin and bright red makeup. Her eyes are pink with long heavy lashes, and her long, thick, wavy hair is mostly tied into a low braided bun.
She wears a body fitting jacket that is deep red with black sleeves and adorned with gold diamond accents and wing like embellishments over a plain white, untucked dress shirt; and thigh high boots that match her jacket's motif. Her cape is lined with a huge lining made of soft feathers, almost looking like fur. The cape itself splits into two, forming the shape of bird's wings. A subtle detail to Giselle's outfit is that a good number of the gold embellishments resemble eyes.
