BACKSTORY

D&D HTML Profile by Coywolfy

Appearance: Height: 5.7ft Skin tone: Pale, white Hair color: Platinum blonde Eye color: Deep green Body type: Thin, near hourglass Clothing: Usually wearing leather and cloth in various shades of green and gold. Recently changed the color palette to black, blue and purple. Now also wearing a pair of glasses. Equipment: A satchel with most important things attached to a belt with many various pockets, a wand on each side of her hips, two longer rods on her back. Additional notes: Patches of brown scales on her hips that she usually covers with various types of illusion and/or makeup when naked. She's missing any tissue on a finger on her left hand, with just bone left. Origin Neleera was born and raised in the Weast in the noble house of her mother's side of family. Her mother being the only living descendant of the ruling family became a target of local Yuan Ti clan, plotting to overtake their house and gain control over the land without causing suspicion. Neleera's father was given a non-existent family name of Silverwood and a task to seduce Neleera's mother into marrying him and then to have a child with her, that would rule the house as an agent of yuan-ti. That plan fell quickly when Neleera's father was killed during a hunting accident, before she even was born. Neleera was born and raised as a human child would, by her forever grieving, distant mother, without the knowledge of who her fatherreally was or his goals. Unable to feel joy, compassion or any other emotion, Neleera was a strange child, uninterested in playing with children her age. Forced to participate in dinners, celebrations and meetings, she never spoke unless she deemed it neccesary. Her free time she would spend in the family's library, feeding the only thing that drove her - curiosity about the things she didn't understand. Knowledge about dragons, beholders, gods, other planes and magic were what candy and playtime was to other kids. Despite her many attempts, however, she could never manage to use magic, lacking the innate ability and the neccesary training to do so. She however somehow managed to stumble upon a book that described a ritual that would allow anyone to contact a god of another world - Veles, the lord of the underground and knowledge. She followed the instructions, meeting her then Patron for the first time. He took a liking to her and her drive for learning, making her into his tool for seeking more knowledge of this world, in return offering her the ability to use magic. Neleera soon became a devoted follower of Veles. As she reached the age of sixteen, however, patches of brown scales began to appear on her hips. Her maids quickly noticed that, but nobody understood where they came from or what they meant. Through her research in the deeper parts of the libraries, Neleera learned about the yuan-ti purebloods and quickly understood that she must be somehow one of them, suspecting that her father must have been one as well. Knowing that, she claimed to be falling sick, the scale-like growths on her hips being a symptom of a deadly and yet unknown illness. To not risk the health of her family, she was sent to Allum to seek a cure for an illness that didn't exist. Meeting the Party Neleera spent ten years travelling first through Weast and then to Allum and then seeking her place on the new continent. She didn't have much luck, however, quickly falling into a trap set up by a group of goblins when she departed on her own into a forest. Rescued by an odd group of people that were sent to check odd happenings inside a nearby cave, she got curious and followed them. There, together, they freed what appeared to be a demon going by the name of Nin and met a mage named Korvir who attempted to kill them. Driving the mage away, they took rest, and in her dreams Neleera was commanded by her Patron Veles to follow the group and see where that would lead her. Tbc because I'm too lazy to write a short of two years long campaign
