- Ryder is my first OC, very much cherished. I love him with all of my heart!
- Ryder embodies a lot of fashion trends of the 80s, and his interests are geared towards a similar time period (Unsurprisingly, as the universe he is in is set in 1985). He’s a big skater!! Ryder’s room is covered in skating memorabilia, every wall is plastered with at least one large poster, though some may be from bands or movies, or candy wrappers...
- Personality wise, Ryder is a very extroverted and optimistic kind of guy. He finds joy in the tiniest or most stupid of things, such as seeing an ant on the sidewalk, an ant in the kitchen, an ant on his arm or maybe even an ant on the wall! (He is an Ant Enjoyer). He’s almost never seen without a smile on his face!
- Ryder is missing his right hand. This is due to an incident involving a car, said incident occurring when he was no older than six. In addition to the hand loss, Ryder also sustained somewhat mild, but permanent brain trauma.
- He’s very childlike in nature, fairly innocent as far as people go. He gets mixed up a lot, and can be very easily fooled. Sometimes he’s a bit slow to social cues.
- Ryder LOVES holding hands with people. It doesn’t matter who you are. He has almost zero sense of what, or who, is “scary” and WILL try to make them hold hands with him. This is probably the single most wonderful thing in the world to Ryder, holding hands. It’s "good for bonding", he’d say. It's often combined with him staring at the hand-holdee adoringly.
- He absorbs things and phrases people say like a sponge, often repeating them at random without knowing the meaning. He shares this trait with Cian.
- For whatever reason, he's developed a massive fascination with oranges, and loves to have one with him as often as he can. If you take away his orange, he will be very sad.
