Gregory is a complicated person. At home he's gregarious, excuse the pun, and open to the people around him, but once he goes to school, he becomes hostile and shy. Due to past experiences, he struggles to trust people he just met, and even continues to stay suspicious of them after they've known each other for awhile.
History
Gregory was born with the unfortunate gift of being constantly airborne, not because he weighs lighter than ait, but because his body seemingly repels the surface of the world, making him unable to step foot on it. And so, he floats. He's learned to use his magic to move him foreward and backward, but for an extended period of time he was completely dependent on his parents to carry him around... and then when they died, he was dependent on the staff of the orphanage.

Relationships
His father-- While Gregory never got to know Peter, he holds an idealized verison in his head from the commentary of those who raised him. When he was young, stories about Peter encouraged him to learn about chemistry, but when the world went sideways his dreams of a scientific career were smashed.
His mother-- Selene was a very passive person, and her kindness echoed in every person she met. Gregory sometimes feels like while he never truly got to know her, her impact on the people around her ran so deep, he spent more time with her through anyone she knew.
Gregory's childhood friend-- Due to the trouble in Recrium's life, he's moved into Greg's house with... a friend. Gregory has complicated feelings about Recrium, he likes having him around but feels kind of weird about it. Maybe because Recrium is basically a walking bad luck charm...
Friend of Recrium's-- Gregory does not like Recrium's current caretaker. No matter how much both insist that the shapeshifter has changed, Gregory has flashbacks to every horrible event they orchestrated in his life any time they open their mouth... But Gregory likes Recrium, so he'll deal with Crimson.
Gregory's older uncle-- A sweet person who always tried his best to keep Gregory safe and happy for as long as he knew him. Gregory has complicated feelings about his uncle, considering he used to be a murderer and all, but after Casper sacrificed his life for him, Greyory found himself much more sympathetic for the man.
Gregory's younger uncle-- an anxious individual who has always tried his best to take care of his nephew, but tended to struggle in any situation that wasn't life-or-death. Gregory would never say it out loud, but for a long time he just assumed his uncle was boring. That suspicion was dashed after he literally turned himself inside out sacrificing himself for Gregory.
Gregory's Familiar-- Domino helps Gregory with his physical therapy (for his legs) and tells him stories about his family... though he's recently gone missing. Gregory worries for him, but knows the old demon can take care of himself, and has assumed he just... left him.
