- Altani is very outward-going and emotional person. While she's friendly to almost everyone she meets, she isn't afraid to speak her mind if she thinks something is wrong. She spends most of her free time tinkering with machines, writing/sketching in her journal, or socializing with others at the local tavern.
To her, her bonds with her companions are the most important things in her life, to the point where she would do almost anything for them.
While outgoing, she also comes off as cocky and arrogant, thinking her on-the-fly plans are the best ideas for any problem. She's a "leap before you look" person, and this gets her into more trouble than the threats to Eorzea she fights on the regular.- Backstory
- Altani was born in Terncliff, her parents Garlean engineers. She fled when she was very young when her parents defected from Garlemald. With nowhere to go, the family settled down into a quiet life on the outskirts of Limsa Lominsa as salvagers. Altani grew up around bits of salvage and machinery, instilling a sense of wonder and curiosity when it comes to magitek and machines.
- When the Calamity hit, her family was one of many casualties caused by Bahamut’s reign of terror. Devastated, Altani left La Noscea, turning to banditry to survive. This "on the run" lifestyle continued for several years before being inspired to become an adventurer. It was during this time she had learned she was gifted with the power of the Echo.
She met Y'shtola during one of her early quests and was granted an invitation to the Scions of the Seventh Dawn. Feeling she had found her calling, Altani put her skills to work, laboring to bring peace across Eorzea. She was assigned as Yuvonne Noireaux's partner, and the two started off with a rocky relationship.
During her stay in Ishgard, she became curious about the Skysteel Manufactory. It ignited in her the spark of invention her parents had once had. Soon, she was spending much of her time in the workshop in-between adventures, learning and working with as much as she could. She found her new calling and became a Machinist.

Joining the Scions of the Seventh Dawn roughly around the same time, Altani and Yuvonne were assigned as partners. Practically opposites, Altani initially had her reservations about Yuvonne. The elezen's careful, planning nature grated against her own impulsive decision-making. As the two went on more and more missions together however, they grew closer. Altani now considers Yuvonne one of her closest friends. - Ysayle Dangoulain Lover
Originally enemies, Ysayle and Altani got to know each other more intimately during their quest to end the Dragonsong War. Altani fell hard for her, and the two enjoyed their times together. Ysayle was one of Altani's most trusted comrades, and she hopes they will meet again. - Alisaie Leveilleur Friend
Altani and Alisaie became fast friends over the course of their adventure in Doma. Both Red Mages, Altani and Alisaie have a teacher/student dynamic when it comes to their studies. - Blank Friend
