Genie

As a spoiled princess, Genie was raised with everything handed to her on a silver platter. She knew no hardships and found no need to work for what she wants, making her quite the demanding character. Being demanding and spoiled, she eventually gained the traits to be selfish and compulsive when acting on her own accord. She tends not to think of what the effects of her actions, or how it might affect someone else other than her own person. She's always selfishly stringing others along on her plans despite their disinterest or opinions. Perhaps it is because she's ever the hopeful girl, that dreams often for a life without the restraints she was given. A princess she may be, but a prisoner to her castle and country - so is what she would say. A bird with clipped wings, stuck in a bird cage with the job to be pretty and good to her country and her people. Someone with everything but nothing is bound to become envious of those who do have what she wants, but might never quite grasp.

Her experiences on the outside world as a peasant has granted her the freedom she seeks and a better look at what her people live through on a day to day basis. She became humble, appreciative, and benevolent in her times outside of her golden cage.

• Her full name and official title is Genevieve Victoria Louise of Braybrook, Princess Royal.
• Is awful with money handling, since she's never had to deal with that. She can easily spend a whole month's worth of money in luxurious dresses.
• She had a pet owl named Percival. He was a gift from a relative.
• She is always slightly uneasy when around men, almost fidgety. She does tries her best to keep this in check when working with her more mature students, though.

As a princess, Genevieve lived relatively sheltered and kept away from the world outside. While out with her lady-in-waiting, she saw a girl who looked very much like her. The hair, the eyes, the face shape... All, save the fact that she was cleaning horse shite from the street. Her name was Edith. This didn't stop a teenage Genevieve from going on over to her and giving her a proper make-over fit for a princess. That's what it was supposed to be, a make-over. But the girls took it to a new level, and switched places from time to time. Genevieve had a chance to have a taste of freedom for the first time since she was born.

In the following years, Genevieve was engaged to a foreign young noble. Despite that, she still took on a female lover while under the guise of Edith, and was even spending more time living as her. She had even considered live up the charade forever, however she had her responsibilities. Ending things with Betty, Genevieve returned to her life, became a wife, ad things took a turn for the worse. In the coming months after her marriage, it was one thing after another, until she had enough and killed her husband. Just as she was about to be by death's door, a black book appeared and saved her from her hell.

After having been in Amaiera long enough, Genie adopted her peasant persona and picked up work as a governess for young girls. Her skills were later recognized, and was offered a position as a school teacher. She even picked up an apprentice, Lily, who was a student of hers that excelled above the others. While out shopping, she came accross a curious object, which she confused for a teapot. It wasn't until after she cleaned it and polished it did she realize that a ghost resided inside it. A polergeist, if you will. His name is also Genie, and now she's stuck with him until she makes her wishes.
