Anatomy / Phys. Notes:

- Large plate scales in dragon form are hardened composites of many smaller scales

- Neck scales interlock in a herringbone pattern for flexibility and strength

Draconic Culture Notes:

- Dragons shun the use of armor and weaponry, believing their scaled hides, sharp claws, and sheer elemental prowess to be far superior.

- Gender/sex does not hold a high position in traits of value

- Culture has been fractured and is in the process of becoming lost to time due to the Dragon War:

"Mortals found a way to kill dragons (dont remember how but im gonna redo it anyway) and that got into the wrong hands. There was much jealousy and fear over the superior strength and capability that the dragons possessed... So they were hunted to the brink of extinction, and the dragons who remain were driven into hiding to avoid getting killed."

- What clothing they wear in humanoid form is decorative and showy, meant to accent their appearance and showcase scars / markings to others of their kind. Piercings and tattoos are common, and clothing is typically loose-fitting and of soft, high-quality material.

General Dragon Anatomy:

- Most individuals are fit and rather muscular

- All dragons have an innate elemental alignment; this is influenced by the elements of their parents...

   "Elements were partially hereditary for dragons;

1) A hatchling's element was *most likely* one of their parent's elements

2) Rarely, a hatchling would express a dual element expression resulting from a combination of the parent's elements, or

3) The rarest case, where a hatchling expresses an element unrelated to either of it's parents

Dragons who possess two innate elements will always have one dominant over the other. Charrtus's primary is lightning and secondary ice, she took after her mother more in that area.

Having two elements isn't necessarily a good thing, either. Dragons with the condition are oftentimes magically unstable and prone to both illness as well as defects / other disorders, though it does depend on how "compatible" their two elements are."

- High degree of variation in appearance and body structure in the species. Does not influence compatibility as they are still the same species.

- Dragons are not reproductively compatible with humanoid races with exception to demons.
