Ao or "Scorpion" is a samurai for an abandoned temple. He resides there alone now, protecting and up-keeping the property he was sworn to for many years, even if no one is there to see his work. In the empty shrine, he likes to keep injured animals to ensure their safety in the wild. He does this more to feel like he is doing someone right in the world still and to feel useful.
