Kix is witty & plans quickly, making it easy for him to come up with plans of action on the fly. In his lines of work, it is necessary to keep a sharp focus on his surroundings. He is caring, and will defend those he loves to his last breath. He has a strong bond with his close relations.
He is full of passion and emotion, often resulting in him lashing out & having bursts of feeling when in tense situations, or when he is stressed. Not having any sort of formal etiquette training (and having grown up in a swamp), Kix is very informal & casual, especially with close friends and family.
Though the croc has gotten better at controlling his temper, he still holds grudges easily, especially if someone goes against his loved ones. The reptilian will most likely stew for a bit at someone who crosses him wrongly, even for petty things. Kix has become quite self-conscious and wants to focus on bettering himself, but is still insecure. He has struggled a lot with who he is, and snide remarks about his appearance or how he acts often make him defensive & snippety.

- He really enjoys hugs and scratches from close relations, but doesn't like to be touched by strangers. His heightened abilities make him very sensitive.

- Survival Instincts: including stealth, Kix knows how to live on his own in the wilds. Being a creature has its perks sometimes. He is easily unseen.
- Street Smarts: he has quickly become accustomed to the layout and organization of Canborough, and is able to get around easily, as well as knowing who to go to for his needs.
- Sleight of Hand: between his past as a pickpocket & practicing card tricks, Kix has been able to master the art of misdirection.
- Time Management: both a blessing and a curse of this crocodile is that he'll never lose track of time. The clock he swallowed all those years ago may be gone, but the effect is still on him.
- Book Smarts: though getting better, Kix still has difficulty with written language, besides those he is used to from Neverland. But without much practice, even those seem to be slipping through his claws.
- Hunger: the transformations from human to crocodile & back require a lot of energy. Without proper feeding, the morph takes a heavy toll on Kix's physical form. He needs to eat much more than it appears he does in order to sustain himself.
- Children: or just big puppydog eyes. He feels a paternal need to protect & care for them. He just can't help it.
- Family: there is strength in numbers, but Kix would do anything for his loved ones, even if the cost is himself.
In Neverland, Kilkellex lived happily in a tribe of other crocodilians, having been given the gift of transformation between human and animal by one of the native shamans. However, once more mortals & pirates became more frequent visitors to his homeland, they felt more confident in their surroundings and violated one of Neverland's codes, killing most of the tribe. Kix went into hiding, and Neverland began to change, becoming more corrupt.
With this corruption seeded in his soul, Kix became tormented by these inner demons, losing himself to the animalistic chaos. The book saved him from being hunted by the native tribe, transporting him to Amaiera. After getting accustomed to his new surroundings, scavenging and building a home in the woods, Kix was reunited with his childhood companion Rani, and met many new as well as familiar faces. His curse caused him to attack both enemies and friends. After many trials, and concern for his loved ones' wellbeing, he was tipped off to go to Mephistopheles to trade away his curse, ending up with only half a soul, but a freer life.
Currently, Kix has a large & diverse group of family & friends, and most recently works as a delivery boy for Rani's shop, The Lily of the Valley. He is a new uncle to his kin-sister, Che, and has reconciled with who he thought was his most hated enemy, James Hook. Though he has had a much better experience without his curse, he is now caught in a contract for the exchange of information, forced to work on the side for someone he never thought he'd crawl his way back to.
