Medusa wouldn't describe herself as mean, she just considers herself ambitious beyond most people's abilities. She expects the best and knows she deserves it. She and her sisters rule the school and are always the most fashion-forward. What she wants, however, is Perseus. Hot jock of the school, she knows they'd make a perfect power couple. - Backstory
Being a Gorgon is a lot of work. Most kids wouldn't recognize it, but they have reputations to withhold. Her two older sisters, Euryale and Stheno, have both already graduated from highscool, but they are famously remarked for their years. Medusa has big shoes to fill. They dated the hottest guys and ruled the school like a pair of queens. Medusa was passed down the crown once she hit freshmen year but wasn't aware of what she was getting herself into. In her freshmen year, she fell for the swim captain, Poseidon. He was a senior, but she thought for sure they could make it work. Unfortunately, Poseidon proved himself more of a nightmare. She put an end to the relationship one night at his party, but Poseidon wasn't happy. She was drunk and wanted to go home, but he had other plans. He took her to his bedroom without her consent. When she woke up, she didn't know what to do. She felt violated and embarrassed. She threatened to go to the police, but Poseidon warned he'd ruin her if she did. She knew the cops wouldn't touch him, even if she tried. It doesn't help that Athena is pissed at her, blaming her for everything else that happened that fateful night. But Medusa can't tell her the truth. Instead, she's working tirelessly to try and save her, and her families name and regain her power in the school. Even if that means getting rid of Athena.
