Male; he / him

His mom was a siren and his father a merman, making him hybrid of the two; however, he's unaware of the merman part so, as far as he knows, he's a full siren (something he likely takes a bit of pride in). Due to this, he's lacking or just a bit weaker with some siren-like powers. For example, he has a much weaker version of a regular siren's ability to read thoughts and manipulate emotions. While it may be able to come off like he's just really good with people, he actually has a weak ability to somewhat sense other people's emotions and, with enough energy, could perhaps even slightly influence them, but not fully. At times, this power may be easily overridden by his own emotions or just something else distracting him. He, of course, has the ability to switch between his human form and his merman/siren form and, like every siren, has a naturally beautiful voice to lure in all those silly little sailors, in addition to just being naturally beautiful himself. He also has a slight control over water, being able to bend and manipulate it at will, and a slight control over the weather that stems from that, although that one is incredibly weak.

due to his siren powers being weaker or lacking in some cases, he's kind of just grown up assuming he's a late bloomer, and tries not to think about it too much, though every once in a while he does have a moment like "yeah, but isn't this like,,, extra extra late by now?"

sexuality unlabelled, he doesn't really tend to get 'attracted to people', but if you're a pirate he doesn't give a fuck what's in your pants, he'll just sing at you all flirty and kill you like it's no big deal

Caspian Laguna Reef//19//Male//Around 6'3 and muscular with tanned skin and long, caramel-brown hair that gets lighter on the ends, turning a light, creamish color and it's usually in a messy ponytail, a messy bun or, an obviously messy braid since nobody really taught him how to do them right. He has light, blue eyes and a tattoo on his neck & shoulders (Hard to describe..)//Pretty much the same but he has a long, caramel-brown tail with a lighter fin and a 'fin' around his waist. He also has Gills on either side of his neck that he could probably pass off as scars if he needed to//He's usually pretty nice and calm, though he can be flirty at times//He (Obviously) has a gorgeous voice, which is usually better than others for unknown reasons and is a very fast swimmer//Because he's technically only half siren (His mother was a siren and his father was a merman, he can't read people's auras and usually feels sympathy and love a bit more than others, which confuses him a lot sometimes Because he thinks he's a full siren. His parents were captured by hunter's (Or fishermen... Something like that) so he didn't know them well but be usually blames himself because he was the only one who got away. Nobody knows if he had any siblings//None yet?//He always wears a beaded necklace with a large shark tooth on it because it was a gift from his parents

While he thinks it’s just him being really good with people, he actually has a pretty weak ability to sense other people’s emotions, which can sometimes even be overridden by his own emotions/lack of attention (It stems off the idea that sirens can read thoughts!)

hair is somewhat dark ginger, fades to a slightly more blonde shade at the ends and a little on the underside of it, it's a little past his shoulders but usually up in preferably a messy bun, though occasionally a ponytail, or sometimes a messy braid, since he has very little braid experience outside of his own hair

eyes are light, blue with a very slight green tint

defined cheekbones, dimples when he smiles

gills can open and close on command, as well as when he shifts between his forms, and when they're closed they're fairly hard to see, only faint lines

transparent fins, his tail fin is quite long

his tail is the same colour as the darker part of his hair

he's flirty, and incredibly charming

he's naturally a fast swimmer, and has a slight control over water, being able to bend it to do as he wishes which he can use to give him a speed boost as well

his voice is, of course, absolutely gorgeous, and can be used to lure people in, especially with singing. it can also make him come off as quite easy to trust quite quickly

while he usually takes it as him just naturally being good with people, he actually has a pretty weak ability to sense other people's emotions, which can sometimes be overridden by his own emotions, especially particularly strong ones, or just his lack of attention (stems off of the idea that siren's can read thoughts)

he has a shark tooth necklace that he wears a lot, which was originally his dad's. his parents got captured by hunters / fishermen when he was younger, and he blames himself for it (survivors guilt, perhaps, maybe he caught their attention), the necklace must have come off as they got caught, and he grabbed it and fled
