In an adoptive foster home with three sisters and a brother, Amy was the second to last youngest, but the shortest, thus being hard to find her place. She grew up having a terrible self-esteem, always trying to be as good as her siblings, which she covered up by being a complete buffoon. Despite hard times once in a while, her family still managed to make her feel loved as she got older, and Amy always looked up to her mother.

As they all grew up, they decided to stay together and all moved to a small town near a beach, where they all took small jobs to carry on with their lives; her sisters working at the resort, one being in college while her brother was in high school, she decided to aim for the careless life and took various little job around the beach, mostly slacking off.
