Somewhere, deep within a castle made of dreams, if you wander long enough, you might happen to find yourself in a hall where walls warp and runes whisper. Hushed words, silent warnings.
For those with insatiable curiosity and no caution in mind, a single door awaits at the end. It has no lock nor handle, completely unbudging. Even to residents of the palace, entrance seems forbidden.

While none have seen the inside, some can still tell of the mage living within: a withdrawn figure, only rarely spotted outside his quarters, always carrying research notes and seemingly in a perpetual hurry to return to his study. Many speculations as to his identity and occupation circulate all too often, though not much is known for certain. Only the title magus appears to have stuck, since no name has ever been given out.

His staff is called Kathgnuv'ell, an ancient artifact rumoured to be cursed- some claim it has whispered to them in a language long forgotten, frightening them into giving up ownership until it eventually landed in Magus' hands. However, it remains unproven whether those rumours ring true to this day.

The Magus' Study ♬

Although already mysterious from the outside, its interior would appear even more bizarre to the unknowing eye. Vials, books and other curiosities are strewn across both shelves and floor, leaving little room to walk freely, while various diagrams cover the walls almost completely. To sum it up: it looks like a huge mess, even if the magus himself insists that there is method to his madness.
Most of the time, lights are dimmed but it is never truly dark; countless crystals illuminate the area, seemingly growing out of the floor- some small, others tall enough to tower over any human with ease.
