"There's no need to be afraid of me, young one"

A heroic lad with a heart of gold, he became an outcast of his own tribe due to many fearing he would become cursed like the one that became the vengeful entity known as Calamity Ganon. 

Since then, he has survived in the wilds of Hyrule by becoming a travelling merchant.  He hopes one day that he can unite again with Riju who he has always treated like a younger sister.

While he doesn't hold any grudges against his tribe that banished him, he is mortal enemies with a member of the Yiga Clan known as Kovar.

Sometimes he has nightmares of whispering spirits that haunt his dreams with vague memories he doesn't understand.

Story

For as long as he could remember, he has had a hard time remembering the faces of his parents. The fate of his Hylain father is unknown to him since he never got to see him when he grew up in the confines of Gerudo Town. His mother would sometimes talk about him, but not as much as Dragmire would of liked. So it has always been a mystery if something bad happened to him.

His mother tragically perished when he was only 7 years old, dying to save the previous queen of the Gerudo from a Yiga ambush.

Since then, he has only ever known Buliara as a motherly figure for much of his childhood. He often would help her take care of the young princess left without her own mother much like him.

Due to a incident and saving Riju's life, he was discovered by the elders at 12 years old. Deeming him a danger to his people, he was banished because they believed he carried the curse that had always came with every male born into the tribe.

He vowed that he would someday return after he had brought peace to Hyrule and bring an end to Calamity Ganon. 

Over the years, he's been going under the name of Dragmire and been traveling around Hyrule as a merchant. Although it has been quite tough making a living, he's been trying his hardest to earn enough so he could someday have enough rupees to buy a house and settle down in a peaceful village. 

However this has been also tough due to him always bumping heads with the Yiga Clan to keep them from getting up to no good.

Several years have passed with peace and a kingdom slowly rebuilding itself from the events of The Great Calamity and the destruction of Calamity Ganon.

Dragmire sets out with Link and Zelda as backup on their journey below Hyrule Castle to discover the source of what exactly has been causing the people of Hyrule to fall ill.

Things don't turn out well for all three heroes and Dragmire awkenens to find himself recused from drowning in a underground river thanks to a mysterious, monstrous creature named Grander.
